Analysis of at least one sequence from the rough cut

If I could change one thing about the music video it would be to put a bit more variation in. This is because I feel that having Imogen as the lead singer was a good idea, but didn't allow her much time on the camera, so if we put in other shots, such as location shots or other members of the 'band', it may have looked better.
Also, I would re-shoot the close up of the mouth, as it is out of line and badly framed, which sometimes makes the video look bad.
However, these are the only things I would change, as overall I am pleased with the final result, and I think the shots we got fit in well with the music and the genre.

Final Edit

Analysis of at least one sequence from the rough cut- preferably one sequence that you intend to change in light of your feedback from your teacher

the one part of the video i will be changed is the extreme close up of the lip because sometimes the framing of the shot is out so we will ever reshoot or change the positioning.

Rough Cut

After seeing our rough cut, our teachers told us to;

• Re-shoot roundabout scene- not enough shot types
• Framing the close-up mouth scene
• Use more shot types during scene of 'Outsider' chorus
• Make the bridge more visually interesting- add more 'walking' shot
• Re-film extreme mouth close up
• Film a wider variety of shots in the park location
• Cut up the chorus into smaller, shorter shots
• Hold the camera more steady when filming the roundabout scenes

These photos are from the first filming session we did. It was the only time we went to the London Southbank to film, it went well and we got all the shots we needed to make certain parts of our music video. 

 

These are from the second filming session in the park next to Sainsburys. We had to film these shots twice because there wasnt a wide enough range of shots originally.

This was the last filming session we did and it was in college. We used a white wall as a plain background for a continuous shot of Imogen singing the whole track as a base video.

Just having a look through your blog and I notice that you've not posted your pitch and you haven't labelled your animatic (I know it's your animatic but it may not be immediately clear to our external moderator).  Please don't fall behind with your blogs - your pitch should have been posted after you did it, and your blog by now should have been populated with lots of lovely photos from your filming sessions along with a bit of feedback around how you think the filming is going.
